London, 7 April 2025 – The Windrush Caribbean Film Festival (WCFF) has appointed Juanita Rosenior, communications strategist and cultural architect, as its new Operations and Communications Director for 2025. We at TGRG are incredibly proud to see our founder step into this exciting role, bringing her deep expertise, creative vision, and longstanding commitment to celebrating Black British culture to the heart of one of the UK’s most important cultural festivals.

Juanita brings over a decade of experience across marketing, PR, and cultural events, having worked at the intersection of community, creativity, and communications. Her work consistently champions underrepresented voices and builds spaces where culture and storytelling take centre stage.

In this new role, she is responsible for the logistical delivery, communications, and strategic direction of the 2025 festival, working alongside the leadership team to ensure its smooth operation and meaningful impact. This year’s edition runs from 14–29 June 2025, with events taking place in selected locations nationwide and globally online, expanding access and participation for audiences everywhere.

“The Windrush Caribbean Film Festival is a celebration of Caribbean stories, creativity, and resilience,” said Juanita. “I’m proud to be part of a team that is working to honour the Windrush legacy while making space for the next generation of storytellers. I can’t wait to see where we take it.”

Now in its sixth year, WCFF continues to grow as a national cultural platform dedicated to sharing the history, voices, and creativity of Caribbean communities in Britain and beyond. As the festival builds towards Windrush 80 in 2028, Juanita’s role will be pivotal in shaping its future and reinforcing its legacy.

With a curated programme of feature films, shorts, documentaries, panels, and community-led screenings, WCFF 2025 promises to be its most ambitious yet. For more information and updates, visit www.windrushcaribbeanfilmfestival.com
