For the second year, Cultural Curator and Producer Natalie Fiawoo has been invited to curate the programme for the popular literary festival, Africa Writes.
The festival will take place at various satellite locations throughout the year starting in Leeds on Saturday 5 March 2022.
A panel of poets explore contemporary African literature of the diaspora through reading, discussion and performance. In particular celebrating the work of Wole Soyinka and his most recent novel ‘Chronicles from the Land of the Happiest People on Earth’ (2021).
Curated by Khadijah Ibrahiim, the event will feature poets including Jason Allen-Paisant, Malika Booker, Rommi Smith and more. Produced in partnership with Africa Writes, the British Library, the Geraldine Connor Foundation and the University of Leeds Centre for African Studies.
