TGRG are pleased to welcome Dr. Leroy Logan to its talent management family.
It comes on the cusp of a new phase in an already illustrious story ashe prepares to release his debut book, Closing Ranks, this September.
Dr Leroy Logan MBE is a former superintendent in the Metropolitan police. He retired in 2013 after 30 years’ service. He is also a former chair and founding member of the Black Police Association.
Leroy is one of UK’s most highly decorated and well known black police officers. A highly respected and well regarded commentator on policing in black communities, he believes that there is still much work to do in creating a more equitable and fair criminal justice system.
He’s about to be immortalised on the small screen as Oscar-winning Director Steve McQueen directs the anthology drama series, Small Axe, in which Leroy will be depicted by Star Wars actor, John Boyega.
“What truly makes Leroy interesting is his enduring dedication to forging better relationships between the police and the communities they are supposed to serve, especially those from the Black communities” says TGRG Managing Director, Juanita Rosenior.
“His father was viciously attacked by police within weeks of submitting his application to join the force – He would later sue and win – and yet Leroy forged forward. He understood his calling was to make a difference within The Met.” Leroy went on to receive an MBE for his work around anti-racism policies.
“Leroy Logan is a man that represents legacy, resilience and has an unquenchable desire for equality in the way people are treated by the police service. We are looking forward to working with Leroy to fulfil the next part of his work.” concluded Juanita.
Closing Ranks: My Life as a Cop is released by SPCK Publishing on Thursday 17 September 2020. Small Axe will be released later this year.
