London, United Kingdom – Monday 7 April 2025 – The Windrush Caribbean Film Festival (WCFF) proudly announces its sixth annual edition, running from 14 to 29 June 2025. This year’s festival promises an unmissable celebration of Caribbean cinema, culture, and community, blending powerful storytelling with a renewed focus on national impact, cultural education, and creative innovation.

Guided by the 2025 festival theme — Belonging, Being and Becoming — WCFF invites audiences to explore what it means to find place, identity, and transformation within the Black British and Caribbean experience. From stories of migration and memory to those of resistance and joy, the festival honours the legacies of the Windrush Generation while carving space for future-facing narratives.

The festival remains committed to telling the stories that matter, stories that educate, inspire, and reflect the Black British and Caribbean experience. WCFF is a celebration of history, identity, and creativity,” said Patricia Hamzahee OBE, WCFF Co-founder.

“This year, we’re reaching further, engaging more communities, and championing new and established filmmakers alike,” added Garry Stewart, Co-founder and cultural advocate.

The 2025 programme will feature a bold selection of feature films, documentaries, shorts, and thought-provoking events, taking place across selected locations to be announced and globally online, ensuring accessibility for audiences near and far.

Official film selections will be announced on 24 April 2025, with the full programme and ticket sales opening shortly after.

WCFF 2025 is shaping up to be the most inclusive and impactful edition yet.

Tickets for the festival and awards ceremony will be available via windrushfilmfestival.com following the official selection announcement.
