To round off a challenging year, and just in time for Christmas, TGRG produce The Power of Faith: How to Triumph in Challenging Times. This special conversation takes place between history makers Dr. Leroy Logan and Bishop Rose Hudson-Wilkin.

Join former superintendent and the author of Closing Ranks, Dr. Leroy Logan MBE, and Bishop Rose Hudson-Wilkin of Dover as they discuss their faith and how vital it is during challenging times. Reflecting on their lives and professional careers spanning three decades, the two friends discuss discovering God, resilience, community, and family, pillars we’ve all reached for throughout this year.

Both Leroy and Bishop Rose are trailblazers in their fields in their field. Leroy Logan spent thirty years in the Metropolitan Police Service and rose to become one of the few Black superintendents in British policing history. In parallel, Bishop Rose was building her career in the church, ultimately becoming the first Black women to be a Bishop of the Church of England.

During their lifetime, both of them have experienced many challenges covering race and gender. At many points they could have given up with naysayers and obstructions at multiple turns however they both credit their faith as the constant that kept them going.

“2020 has been a tough year. In fact, that is an understatement.” says TGRG Managing Director, Juanita Rosenior.

“As we enter a second lockdown in the UK and at a time we would traditionally be spending with family, I think we all need a story of hope.

“From humble beginnings in Jamaica to high ranking positions in this country, it’s more than domithat pushes these people forward and I hope this production gives the audiencd something to hold on to in these very strange times.”

The event will be presented by UCB Presenter. Ruth O’Reily-Smith.
