The Ascension Years at the Royal Albert Hall Talent Representation, Contract Negotiation & Creative Consultancy — 2025

Some archives deserve a second life. TGRG spent two years working to give Tee Max’s one.

Tee Max is a photographer whose work documents some of the most iconic figures in music and popular culture — Beyoncé, Usher, Biggie Smalls, Nas, Method Man — captured before they became household names. Decades of that work had been lying dormant. TGRG saw the opportunity and took it.

As his talent representative, we approached the Royal Albert Hall and successfully negotiated a major exhibition: 20 pieces, running from 31 May to 3 July 2025. We led the full contract negotiation, worked as creative consultant on the project’s strategic direction, and collaborated with the RAH team on communications and public programming, including advocating for film content and talks to extend the exhibition’s reach beyond the physical space.

The result was historic. This was the first exhibition of its kind to be shown at the Royal Albert Hall. It attracted hundreds of visitors in person and reached close to 30,000 people online. Alongside this, TGRG’s representation work secured Tee Max’s inclusion at a major national cultural site and laid the groundwork for his photography to feature in the forthcoming V&A East.

Talent management, at its best, is about helping people dream bigger. This project is proof of what becomes possible when dormant work meets the right strategy.
