TGRG are working alongside Black Cultural Archives (BCA) on a London-wide campaign aimed at the Windrush Generation.

The aim is to promote BCA’s public meeting and free legal surgeries for those affected by the Windrush scandal.

Though the incident – where thousands of people had the citizenship unlawfully challenged – took place in the summer of 2018, there is still yet to be an appropriate offer of compensation made twenty months after former Prime Minister Teressa May apologised.

BCA has criticised the process as difficult to access and onerous, and says it’s only causing additional trauma to those who have been affected.

The campaign will focus on reaching those affected through a multi-layered route include press, digital and offline outreach.
