A former teacher, Karen Arthur is a fashion creative, private sewing tutor, stylist, model, content creator and speaker who has been honing her craft for over 40 years. More recently, she has focussed on creating beautiful clothing for women who appreciate hand crafted care and slow fashion.

She lifts the veil on the inevitable and fundamental changes that every woman will go through as they age, shedding light on the evolution of the female experience and the need for women to own their value and buck convention, stereotypes and the world’s attempts at erasure. All this with a wicked wit and uncompromising truth.

She is a strong advocate for dressing for the way you want to feel – Wear Your Happy – and the links between fashion and mental wellbeing plus she presents and produces Menopause whilst Black, a podcast that centres around Black British women’s experiences with menopause.

You may also recognise Karen as one of the lead faces for the Specsavers 2020 campaign.

Of the news, TGRG MD Juanita Rosenior says “Karen is a trailblazer redefining the idea of the Black woman’s voice after fifty. Black women’s voices are already stifled but Karen is pushing against the grain not only defining a voice for herself but giving others the space to do the same.”

“She’s charasmatic, funny and just beautifully honest. There’s so much promises for what 2021 and beyond has in store for her and we’re honoured she has chosen to take that journey with us.”
